Katherine J. “Kay” Rivers, 83, of Duluth, died Monday, Feb. 5th at BHC’s Safe Harbor Memory Care, with her family by her side. Kay was born Jan. 9, 1941, in Virginia, MN to Eric and Leona Wicklund. She met the love of her life Albert Rivers, at Nelsons Resort on Crane Lake where they both worked. They were married on January 13, 1961. Kay was a stay-at-home mother for many years, later in life she was a kitchen and bath designer at the former Westburn Plumbing Supply, now known as Ferguson Plumbing and Supply.
