For The Times Leader FLUSHING Village council learned Thursday that there are options for replacing a waterline that has broken repeatedly recently and also set new rates for burials in village-owned cemeteries. Village Administrator Bryan Clark said he had spoken to two residents concerning the possibility of the village extending a waterline off of a private line as a way to provide service to a handful of customers instead of replacing the 1.6-mile long line on Water Works Road that has been giving crews problems. During a council meeting in January, Clark had informed council about the repeated problems and said Mayor Angelo Vincenzo had asked him to get a quote on replacing the line. Council President John Jozwiak asked if there was another way to get water to those customers, and Councilman Tom Bober expressed doubt about the village being able to afford a line replacement of that scale.
