The last widow of the American Civil War dies, 81 years after her husband Helen Viola Jackson died at a nursing home in Missouri in December at the age of 101. Ms Jackson married James Bolin in 1936 when he was 93 and she was just 17, according to a statement released by the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War.
