POOLE'S latest shopping district, boasting ten 'hand-picked independent retailers', has opened to the public for the first time. The Kingland development, at Kingland Crescent adjoining the Dolphin Shopping Centre, has been billed as a 'boutique shopping experience' and is part of ambitious plans to breath new life into Poole town centre. FIVE new retailers are set to open in Poole town centre once lockdown restrictions are eased – as part of ongoing plans to breath new life into the high street. The independent businesses, which form part of the new Kingland shopping district, got the keys to their new units last week. They include the perfume shop, ånd Fragrance, the Pen Gallery of contemporary art, the Paintshop Studio – a creative design studio – and a zero waste grocery shop called Ten Foot Naked.
