The J.V. Fletcher Library is located at 50 Main St., Westford. The library is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays; 1 to 5 p.m. Fridays; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays.
Unless otherwise noted, all of our programs are funded by the Friends of the Library Inc.

Curbside Pickup: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 6:30-8:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. Place selections on hold through the online catalog. You will be notified when your order is ready and you may come any time during our pick up hours. Inter-library delivery is now available, please expect longer delays than usual. Items received from other libraries will be quarantined for one week. Please do not come until you receive a notification that your order is ready. When you arrive, please call 978-399-2300 (due to heavy call usage, we have updated the number to one that rings at multiple desks) and a masked staff member will place your order under the rear portico. From the Libby app: Tap on the Libby icon at the top right of any page to access the “Add A Library” option. Search for and select the library network you wish to add. On the network’s main page, scroll down to the section that says, “Let’s add a library card for [network name].” Tap on the “I’m Visiting from Another Library” link and select MVLC Library Patrons from the list of networks. Sign in as an MVLC Library Patron using the barcode on your library card.

In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the library will be closed on Jan. 18. The library will reopen at 10 a.m. Jan. 19 for Curbside service.
Library limited reopening: The library has had a “soft opening” for limited browsing, per Gov. Charlie Baker’s reopening guidelines under Phase 3. In addition to curbside pickup, book the browse tent, laptop on the lawn and reference phone assistance, we will re-open a portion of the library from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays as follows: entry will be through the rear parking lot door and exit through the Main Street entrance; residents should leave their returns in the drive-through bookdrop; all patrons must be masked, attest to the door entry questions and maintain six foot social distancing following our signage and floor decals; hand sanitizer is available inside the rear door and at the front exit; 11-11:45 a.m. will be High-risk and Senior Hour; only 10 patrons at a time will be in the library, with patrons exiting and new appointments entering on the hour; only the middle floor of the library will be open, with displays throughout for browsing — please judge a book by its cover as items handled but not checked out must be placed in quarantine; seating, stack areas, meeting rooms, study rooms, youth services, Young Adult and Fine Arts, magazines and newspapers will be cordoned off; we’ll bring the materials to you; and maintenance staff will disinfect high-touch areas and restrooms throughout the day.
