The ordinance, which has been in place for about six years, is designed to prevent commercial businesses from having a stand-alone gaming parlor that sells “incidental” food and drink.
“I need to see specifically what we are spending money on, what is it going to cost, and where the funding is coming from,” an alderman said.
The policy states that “council members shall work for the common good of the people of O’Fallon and not for any private or personal interest.
It will include studying the storm sewer system and culverts in the area along with the two nearby lakes.
