FIREFIGHTERS and ambulance service personnel lined the route past Trowbridge fire station today for the funeral of former watch manager Guy Tadman - whom they affectionately knew as 'Tadders'. Mr Tadman died on April 29 from acute myeloid leukaemia which was first diagnosed in November 2019. He received a stem cell transplant in April last year from his youngest son Josh but the cancer returned. The family of Guy Tadman, a former Trowbridge firefighter who served his local community for over 22 years, have released a touching tribute. Guy, who dedicated his life to helping other people, died on 29 April, after a long fight against acute myeloid leukaemia. Although born in Birmingham, Guy grew up in Semington and went to school at George Ward in Melksham. Paul Lamb, 28, was seen hours before buying a water bottle from a Texaco garage before filling it up with petrol. A motorcycle safety campaign has launched in Somerset as part of a national campaign aimed at increasing road safety for motorcyclists. Think Bike Week runs from 23rd April to 3rd May and aims to highlight the importance of bike maintenance and the wearing of proper riding kit.
