The Philadelphia Marathon weekend takes place Saturday, Nov. 19 and Sunday, Nov. 20. Races include the AACR Philadelphia Marathon, Dietz & Watson Half Marathon, Rothman Orthopaedics 8K and a kids fun run. I was never a runner. I am a reformed running hater. I started with a 5k fun run a few years back because I just wanted to prove to myself I could do it. And I did. And surprisingly enough, I kinda liked it, so decided to try a 10k next. Then a 10 miler.and then fall of 2019 was my first half marathon. I run for my health (physical and mental) and fitness. I love to run because all I need are my shoes, my headphones and my music. I love to run because it lets me see the city in ways I never would in my car. I love that basically every run I do doubles as a history lesson in Philadelphia. ....
