The Waukee community school district has launched an investigation into an offensive student presentation. The presentation was a main discussion point at the school board meeting last night.
"We have actively worked with Ames Police on these rumors who have found them to be unsubstantiated," school officials wrote in an email to families.
Waukee police said they located a handgun in a student's backpack.
