Greenville Public Schools projected budget cuts to cause nearly 20 layoffs
For the first time since the start of the coronavirus pandemic in March 2020, Greenville Public Schools will be making significant cuts to its budget — more than $2.7 million. During Monday’s meeting of the Board of Education, Superintendent Wayne Roedel and Finance Director Matt Andres presented the district’s proposed 2023-2024 fiscal year budget, which must be approved by the board before the start of the next fiscal year on July 1.
