After a sterling start to the season, it time for Wake Forest to find out more about its team as it faces increasingly stout competition.

THE GAME: Oregon State (1-4) will face Wake Forest (5-0) at 6:30 p.m. PT on Friday in the opening round of the Emerald Coast Classic at Raider Arena on the campus of Northwest Florida State College in Niceville, Fla.   The first game on Friday will feature Penn State vs. LSU at 4 p.m. PT.   On Saturday, the third-place game will be played at 1 p.m. PT, while the championship game is scheduled for 4 p.m. PT.  

THE GAME: Oregon State opens its 2021-22 regular season at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday against Portland State at Gill Coliseum.  TELEVISION: The game will be televised on Pac-12 Oregon with Rich Burk and Mary Murphy calling the action.  

Knowing a couple of these individuals personally, it was a feel-good moment when I got this news from UM Sports Information Director Eric Taber.
