Restaurant Brands International beat Wall Street estimates for quarterly results, lifted by signs of a turnaround at its Burger King business and robust demand at Tim Hortons.
SBI's gross non-performing asset (NPA) stood at 2.42%, down from 3.14% recorded in the corresponding quarter last year. Its net NPA for this quarter stood at 0.64 percent compared to 0.77 percent last year.
Among PSU banks, says Axis Securities, SBI remains the best play on the gradual recovery of the Indian economy on account of its healthy PCR, robust capitalisation, strong liability franchise, and improved asset quality outlook.
