Sky has confirmed it will be increasing the cost of a number of TV and broadband services from April 1 2021.

Sky is to raise broadband and pay TV prices on some of its broadband and pay TV packages from April 1. While Sky hasn’t said exactly how many customers will be expected to pay more, it will be writing to affected customers to notify them of changes.

SKY has confirmed plans to increase prices for millions of Sky TV, broadband, and phone customers across the UK in the coming weeks. While the majority will pay an extra £36 over the next twelve months, the worst hit will need to find an extra £72 every year. Here's everything you need to know.

Millions of Sky customers will see bills increase by up to £6 a month – equivalent to £72 a year. While the rises are capped at a £6 a month - a hike that will hit 8 per cent of customers - the average increase comes in at around £3 per month, or £36 a year.  Sky Broadband Essential customers will see the biggest increase, with prices going up more than 13 per cent from £22 a month to £25.  Changes to TV and broadband prices will bite from 1 April, while home phone prices will change for existing customers on 1 May.
