Millions of Sky broadband and TV customers will be hit with price hikes of up to £72 a year from this month onwards. Many of the hikes came into effect on April 1, but customers may be able to leave the provider penalty-free or haggle down their bill, so it s worth checking if you can save by switching. However, if you’re still on a good deal, think about staying where you are as most firms are raising prices anyway.
Millions of households will see a number of their bills increase dramatically on 1 April 2021 in the wake of the pandemic.
Council tax, the TV licence and NHS prescriptions are just some of the costs being hiked from April Fools Day.
A number of TV, broadband and mobile providers have also revealed they will be rising their prices, some in line with Retail Price Inflation.
Unfortunately, the increases come at an unwelcome time after a year of financial uncertainty for much of Britain.

The price increases are quite complicated, hence why Sky is emailing customers individually. Price hikes will differ depending on the deal you have, when you signed up to Sky, or whether you have a special offer or discount applied to your account.
HERE S HOW MOST OF THE PRICES WILL BE AFFECTED
The entry-level Sky Signature telly bundle increases from £25 to £26 a month. The Multiscreen add-on, which lets you watch Sky in multiple rooms around your home, will rise from £14 to £15 a month
The High Definition add-on, which adds HD and UHD streaming and channels, increases from £6 to £7 a month.
This month Netflix users will pay an extra £12 a year for a standard price plan and £24 more for its premium price plan, which allows you to use the streaming service on up to four devices at once.
