New Jersey Herald JEFFERSON — Highly traveled Route 15 was closed into Monday as the state Department of Transportation made emergency bridge repairs. Also closed was the rest of the Weldon Road interchange near the border with Sparta Township. The problem with the bridge, which carries Weldon Road over Route 15, was reported late Sunday afternoon by a DOT maintenance worker who noticed a vertical crack in one of the horizontal steel beams which crosses over the southbound lanes of Route 15.
