THIS week the UK Government unveiled plans to adorn an eight-storey tall union flag on an office building in Cardiff city centre. It will be attached to the windows of the corner of the building, which is home to the HMRC's tax offices in the capital, and named in honour of William Morgan. The proposal has proved controversial among those who do not wish to see a capital building sporting the Union Jack. The move has also raised awareness of William Morgan, as the man who translated the Bible into Welsh during his time as vicar of the parish of Llanrhaeadr.
