Appeal for 200 new homes in Fareham is set for next year
Building firms have lodged appeals over proposals for the houses in Newgate Lane. A Government appointed planning inspector was due to hold a public inquiry into the scheme this month. But now that has been postponed and is not due to be held until February 9 next year. Both Fareham Land LP’s plans for up to 75 houses to be developed on Newgate Lane and Bargate Homes’ plans for up to 115 houses to be developed on the land at Newgate Lane South have been appealed by the developers. It comes after Fareham Borough Council did not make a decision about the plans in time.
