Job Description
The National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS), a major research component of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), is seeking a highly motivated synthetic chemist to serve as a postdoctoral fellow for drug discovery projects within the Therapeutic Development Branch (TDB) of its Division of Preclinical Innovation. The selected candidate will work on a multidisciplinary team to identify clinical candidates to address unmet medical needs.
Core Responsibilities
The postdoctoral fellow will be responsible for designing and synthesizing compounds for structure-activity relationship and structure-property relationship studies, developing new technologies to accelerate drug discovery, presenting results in internal and external meetings, and writing reports and manuscripts.
