Safe Routes construction begins in Payne Wednesday, May 5, 2021 10:31 AM PAYNE – The Village of Payne’s Safe Route to School Grant is set to begin in the next few weeks. If everything goes according to schedule a surveyor will be in the area on Friday, April 30 with construction set to begin on Wednesday, May 5. Up to $266,000 from grant funding will repair or install sidewalks on West Townline Street, West Oak Street and West Merrin Street.
