A Hempfield man who suffered a medical emergency while driving early Wednesday morning died of injuries from the resulting crash, Westmoreland Coroner Tim Carson said. James A. Shifko, 62, of Broadway Avenue was headed south on Westec Drive shortly before 7 a.m. when, Carson said, he suffered a medical emergency.

Akuity Technologies of Auburn acquired by New York company [Telegram & Gazette, Worcester, Mass.] AUBURN – Akuity Technologies, an information technology services company on Westec Drive, has been bought by a New York company. ICS, with offices in Endicott and other parts of Upstate New York, will take over Akuity in a deal announced by the companies on Friday.
