Ferndale police officers found the car in the river next to Ferndale Road after a pedestrian reported skid marks apparently leading toward the river. The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Department, Whatcom Fire District 7, border patrol and the State Patrol are assisting with the ongoing investigation. No other information is being released at this time.
