Now-former UWW student-athlete cited in assault investigation
The incident was reported to police Friday, March 5.

Whitewater police identified the suspect as Will Schultz, 19, of Whitewater. Schultz was cited for disorderly conduct (assault) and underage presence in a Class B licensed premise prohibited.

With that, police said the investigation is complete. A university spokesman confirmed Schultz is not currently a student and is not affiliated with any athletic teams when FOX6 News asked Thursday for an update on his status with the university.
In the wake of the incident, an online petition garnered more than 13,000 signatures from people who wanted him kicked off the basketball team and out of the university. According to the Change.org petition, the student punched a bartender in the face after she turned him down. Her eye was left swollen shut. ....
