Broadwater Farm compulsory purchase order confirmation is sought
A notice in this week’s edition of the Enfield Independent from the London Borough of Haringey states it is applying to the Government to seek confirmation for a compulsory purchase order for the Tangmere House and Northolt blocks. If the order is confirmed, it will clear the way for the blocks to be demolished and for new housing to be built in its place to “overall facilitate the improvement of that part of the Broadwater Farm Estate”. Tangmere, a six-storey block, and 18-storey Northolt were evacuated in 2018 following tests conducted in the wake of the Grenfell Tower disaster...
