Commissioner Jeff Watts can legally hold office if convicted of DWI

Paxton has pleaded not guilty to the still pending charges.
Watts is accused of being drunk when he wrecked his pickup in a one-vehicle rollover Feb. 18 near Electra, according to allegations in court records.
