Mayor Ted Wheeler announced the new director of the city s Office of Government Relations on the day the 2021 Oregon Legislature formally started after a delay prompted by security concerns.
Briannon Fraley was selected after a national search. She will begin the job on Jan. 25. Fraley most recently served as Initiatives Director for the Wild Rivers Community Foundation in Crescent City, California.
Briannon s track record of collaboration, priority-setting and community-building is the right combination to build partnerships and move Portland priorities forward, Wheeler said in his Jan. 21 announcement.
