Excellent commodity prices propelled Mississippi agriculture to its highest level: an estimated $8.33 billion value in 2021.

STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) — Most of Mississippi’s soybean crop is looking good, and so are prices — but some areas are still replanting acres that were flooded in June, Mississippi State University Extension Service experts say.

STARKVILLE, Miss. • Mississippi farmers generated an estimated agricultural value of $7.35 billion in 2020, a 5% increase from 2019 that saw soybeans top forestry for the No. 2 spot behind poultry.
