Feb. 2, 1952 - April 8, 2024 Patrick William Lyons was born Feb. 2, 1952, to Virgil and Charlotte (Parks) Lyons of rural Boone. He graduated from Boone High School in 1970 and worked for Sandler Built Homes in Boone until enlisting in the Air Force in 1972. During his four years in the Air Force as a radar technician, he was stationed at Baudette Air Force Station in Minnesota and Tempelhof Central Airport in West Berlin, Germany.
