New study: deep sea sensor reveals that coral
<p>A team of scientists, led by the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, measured superoxide in water surrounding corals with a sensor called SOLARIS, on board the <em>Alvin</em> submersible. The study reveals, for the first time, that deep-sea corals and sponges produce the ROS superoxide, demonstrating that it’s likely a fundamental part of its functioning. </p>
