BOSTON (WCVB) -- There is controversy surrounding "The Embrace," Boston's recently-unveiled monument to slain civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his wife, Coretta Scott King.
Comedian Leslie Jones returned to TV as guest host of The Daily Show Tuesday, bringing her outrageous sense of humor to controversy over Boston's new Martin Luther King Jr. statue.
In memory of both figures’ legacy and work during the Civil Rights movement, Embrace Boston raised $8 million for the sculpture recently unveiled.
The uniquely designed artwork depicts only the couple’s arms and hands in a warm embrace.
Located in the oldest public park in the US, The Embrace is a 20-foot-tall monument in Boston by artist Hank Willis Thomas in collaboration with MASS Design Group
