Court orders competency evaluation for Willmar, Minnesota, man shot by police

Jerry Bernard Jones, 33, of Willmar, made his first appearance Thursday, Feb. 15, in Kandiyohi County District Court after being released from medical care. Jones is charged with assaulting an officer with a knife before being shot by that same officer.
