Pakistan Well Installation Begins Following Fundraising in MissouriOzark Radio News

West Plains, Mo. - Following June fundraising in Missouri, three fresh water pumps have been installed in Pakistan by The Nehemiah Trust Pakistan Water Hand Pump Project. The group received donations for eight wells from June 23, 2022 to August 4th. The first three pumps were installed on August 8th in the Jhool Tando Adam area. The groups and individuals who donated for the wells to be installed were: West Plains Sunrise Rotary Club Willow Springs Rotary Club Thayer-Mammoth Spring Rotary Club (2 wells) West Plains Rotary Club Ramona Heiney Insurance Agency, Inc. Tom Marhefka Tom & Kim Roberts According to information from the project, impure water causes 40% of deaths in Pakistan annually. Around 62% of Pakistan's urban and 84% of its rural population do not treat their water, resulting in over 100 million cases of diarrheal diseases registered in hospitals, with 40% of deaths attributed to drinking polluted water. Newt Brill Retires from Community First Banking Company Board of Directors, New Directors NamedOzark Radio News

West Plains, Mo. - The Board of Directors, for Community First Banking Company, has announced that after 25 years, Newt Brill has retired as an active Board Director and been named Director Emeritus. Brill began his service as a Bank Director in 1966 with First National Bank. In the summer of 1997, he and several other influential business people saw the need for a locally owned community bank that cared about their employees, customers, and communities. He was instrumental in the organization of Community First. His leadership and guidance have been invaluable to the board and the bank. Traci Wiley has joined the board as a Full Director. Wiley has served as an Advisory Director since 2020. She is the owner of Wiley Insurance Agency LLC and is a lifelong resident of West Plains.
