BANGKOK--Several top Myanmar celebrities who were detained for criticizing the army's seizure of power were released from prison Wednesday under pardons issued by the military government, state-run television reported.
Five prominent actors charged under Section 505-A of the penal code were released from Insein Prison on 2 March, according to a lawyer representing the actor Paing Takhon.
