Hurricane irma, one of the strongest storms ever recorded in the atlantic, is sweeping across the Eastern Caribbean with devastating force. At least ten people are known to have died. The british overseas territory of anguilla has been badly affected, a Royal Navy Helicopter carrier is being sent to the region. The islands of barbuda and st martin were the first to feel the full force of the winds. Then came puerto rico and next in line are cuba and florida.
