Barrow man convicted after Vagrancy Act offence
South Cumbria Magistrates' Court A MAN convicted of an offence under the Vagrancy Act has been fined. Daniel Peter Eric Duke admitted that he was in an enclosed area for the purpose of theft. The 42-year-old was at RC Design and Build and in Barrow on June 2. Duke also admitted failing to surrender to custody having been released on bail by police. The defendant, of Windrush Crescent in Barrow, was fined £120 and £80 at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court for the offences and told to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
