A new parkette paying tribute to Hiram Walker is in the works for Riverside Drive and Devonshire Road. The planned parkette will be home to the life-sized bronze statue of Hiram Walker standing on top of six whiskey barrels. Plans for the statue were first announced in July 2016, and the original idea was to place it in a new roundabout at the intersection, but a study of the roadway called for a traffic signal instead of the planned roundabout.
