A man has died after he was found unconscious at the scene of a possible hit and run in Taree on Sunday. Passers-by on Wingham Road, near Cedar Party Road, were concerned for the man’s welfare and called emergency services around 7pm. The man, in his 50s, was found unconscious, suffering serious injuries. He was treated by paramedics before being taken to Manning Base Hospital in a serious condition, where he later died.
