United Way to Host a Winter Mobile Market in February United Way of Greater New Bedford launched the Mobile Market in 2015 to provide low-income working families with fresh produce. The market’s primary focus is to remove the barriers that families often face when accessing fresh produce, such as cost and transportation. The COVID-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc on the SouthCoast in terms of food insecurity, and United Way has made every effort to support members of the community during this difficult time. Get our free mobile app United Way of Greater New Bedford is hosting Winter Mobile Markets to distribute winter food items that include Blount frozen soup, pasta, stuffing, and more. Markets begin at 5:30 pm and go until 7 pm or until all packages have been distributed. All Greater New Bedford residents are eligible to receive this support.
