A FAMILY have paid tribute to a former Worcester News editor who has died aged 69. Andrew Martin, who was the editor of the Evening News in the 1990s - now known as Worcester News, died suddenly on Thursday, February 4. A FAMILY has paid tribute to a committed coastal newspaper editor who had been in the industry for more than 50 years. Andrew Martin, who was living in Conwy Valley at the time of his death, started his newspaper career in 1968. His first job had been in printing. He did this for six months before securing a job as junior reporter on The Banbury Advertiser. After a couple of years, he got a reporting job on the Banbury Guardian as a sports reporter.
