Tyro Payments has entered a trading halt following a week-long connectivity issue affecting its eftpos terminals, as it faces new scrutiny from financial research group Viceroy. The connectivity issue, first reported to ASX this week, affects the Worldline subset of Tyro s payment terminal footprint, disabling transactions and remote updates. It has impacted 30 percent of Tyro merchants, though 11 percent have multiple terminals [of different types] with at least one functioning unit . The company has spent the past few days physically collecting, repairing and returning all impacted terminals to merchants to resolve the issues. ....
