Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced Thursday that he is awarding $8.5 million to 21 local law enforcement agencies to help them strategically combat violen
Gov. DeWine says $5 million in grant funding is available to help local law enforcement agencies invest in body camera equipment and pay for associated expenses.
DeWine said the objective is to help agencies that cannot afford to purchase body cameras and everything that comes with them.
The trial run is to hopefully determine a full system for the Findlay Police Department to equip all 67 officers and 22 marked patrol cars with the cameras.
