SCCC DECA CHAPTER COMPETES AT STATE COMPETITION
The third annual Saline County Career Center DECA Awards ceremony was held Monday, May 10, to honor the SCCC Chapter in multiple areas. With the chapter officers acting as the master of ceremonies, students were presented with DECA stoles, letters, pins and two scholarships. SCCC DECA competitors were recognized for competing at district and state competition as well as earning “Thrive” status and completing four DECA chapter campaigns for the third year in a row. In January, DECA Inc. announced that the Saline County Career Center DECA Chapter earned “Thrive” status for the third year in a row. The purpose of these campaigns is to help a chapter develop a program of work and build lasting partnerships within the school and community. The chapter completed the promotional, community-service and membership campaigns this year.
