Naorem Roshibina Devi, a Wushu fighter from Manipur, won a silver medal in the women s 60-kg Sanda final at the 19th Asian Games in China. She had hoped to win gold and make history for India in Wushu. Despite her disappointment, Roshibina was able to change her bronze medal from the 2018 Jakarta Asiad to silver this time. Her father, Naorem Damu Singh, expressed his pride in her achievement but noted that celebrations were subdued due to ethnic violence in their area.
