Bernhard 'Bert' Trautmann is one of the many Prisoners of War from World War Two to feature in the Great Escapes: Remarkable Second World War Captives event at the National Archives.

Since its creation in 1956 by the Duke of Edinburgh, the Award scheme has had a positive impact on the lives of millions of young people.
