I won't hesitate to kick out disloyal aides from my govt - Akeredolu


Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has threatened to sack disloyal aides from his government.
According to the governor, he would not hesitate to sack any of his aides who displayed any acts of disloyalty.
Akeredolu gave the warning on Monday during the swearing-in of four commissioners into his government
During the event, the governor added that anybody sacked for being disloyal would not be recalled.
The new commissioners are; Mr Wale Akinterinwa (Commissioner for Finance) Mr Ojogo Kimikanboh Donald (Commissioner for Information) Sir Charles Titiloye (Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General) and Engr. Aminu Raimi Olayiwola (Commissioner for Works). ....

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) says a meeting has been convened to resolve the N42bn Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) debt issue between the telecom operators and the banks in the country.
The Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission, Prof. Umar Danbatta made this known on Monday at a World Press Conference in Commemoration of the 2021 World Consumer Rights Day (WCRD) held in Abuja.
The theme for World Consumer Rights Day for 2021 is: “Tackling Plastic Pollution”.
The telecom operators had announced that they will stop the use of USSD by banks and other financial institution in the country on Monday. ....

4G: Nigeria's Towers And Optical Fibre Assets Rise, NCC Says


Nigeria’s towers on third and fourth-generation mobile technologies otherwise known as 3G and 4G respectively, including optical fibre networks, have grown in the last five years, the telecoms regulator says.
Within the last five years, 3G and 4G base deployment in Nigeria has increased from 30,000 to 53,460 to boost the nation’s transmission capacity for delivery of broadband and telecoms services, Professor Umar Danbatta, Executive Vice Chairman, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) disclosed in a statement by the telecoms regulator.
Fibre Optic Transmission cables also expanded from 47,000km to 54,725km within the period expanding their lightning speed transmission capacity across Nigeria. ....
