Election Day voting was smooth Tuesday, as 1,155 voters cast ballots in the El Dorado School District’s millage campaign. The district’s push for more funding was successful, with 52% of voters casting “for” votes.
El Dorado School District Superintendent Jim Tucker led a public informational meeting in the El Dorado High School cafeteria Sunday afternoon to attempt to sell the public on the district s ongoing ballot proposal. The proposal will, if passed, increase millage by 5 mills, which would bring the district s millage rate to 38.5 mills.
