Abu Dhabi F1 Young Driver Test at Yas Marina Circuit teams that will be testing and drivers. Piastri, O'Ward, Schwartzmann, Zhou, Leclerc etc

The Formula 1 season came to a thrilling conclusion on Sunday in Abu Dhabi, with Max Verstappen winning his first World Championship. But the action continues on Tuesday on Wednesday at the end of season Young Driver Test, where Formula 2 champion Oscar Piastri and IndyCar frontrunner Pato O’Ward are among those set to star.

With the 2021 season done and dusted, thoughts have already turned to 2022, with a post-season test in Abu Dhabi allowing drivers to sample Pirelli’s new 18-inch tyres – while the simultaneously run Young Driver Test permitted some of single-seater racing’s brightest young talent to hit the track in current-spec F1 machinery.

It was a mix of Pirelli tyre testing and young driver running in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, but a familiar team on top as Nyck de Vries set the fastest time for Mercedes.

Williams Academy Driver Logan Sargeant will get his first taste of Formula 1 machinery when he drives for the team in the end of season Young Driver Test at Yas Marina Circuit.
