Contributing Writer Taking into consideration the polling popularity of the COVID Relief Bill and the proposed infrastructure plan, the Biden administration seems to have touched the hearts and minds of Americans. About 70 percent of Americans approve of the COVID Relief Bill as three million Americans are getting vaccinated daily because of Biden’s focus on attacking COVID rather than wishing it away. Don’t forget the bill also included the $1,400 stimulus check as well. About 70 percent of Americans approve of Biden’s infrastructure plan and the tax hike on the wealthy to pay for it....
Contributing Writer I read with great interest the recent stories in the local newspaper about the devastating effect of the August 10, 2020 derecho windstorm on one of my family’s favorite places to go in Marshalltown – Riverside Cemetery. Reynolds’ comment reminds us that almost all Iowans are immigrants, and that the ancestors of some of the recent immigrant...

Can they tie a knot in the tail of a tornado? Can they stop the hurricanes from pushing water onto the shore? Can they stop the earthquakes from splitting the earth open? I don’t think so. The earth does what the earth does. From time to time, it wreaks havoc around the world and that’s the way it is. The climate alarmist spending hundreds of billions of dollars won’t change that. All they are doing is mak...
