Northern Ireland sales of electric cars surge ahead by 40% in space of a year
Electric car sales here have powered ahead of market trends with growth of nearly 40% during 2020, the Belfast Telegraph can reveal. The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders said 4,464 vehicles in the electric hybrid, fuel cell, plug-in hybrid and pure electric categories have been sold so far this year, compared to 3,211 in 2019.
