Prem and Amruta would perhaps be one of the first transgender couples who were legally married under the Special Marriage Act, 1954 just about two months after the Supreme Court’s judgement in October which refused to legalise same-sex union but allowed trans individuals to marry.
"It is important to introduce sex education in schools which is sensitive to issues of sexuality and people of different identities," said Syna Dhoka, a 20-year-old.
This year the pride saw eight corporations participating along with many organisations working in various social sectors.
