NDSU Stays Alive In Regionals With Win Over Nevada

STANFORD, Calif. – North Dakota State beat Nevada 6-1 Saturday afternoon, as the Bison picked up the first NCAA Regional victory of the NCAA Division I era.
The Bison moved to 42-18 on the year, adding to the school record for wins. The Wolf Pack, champions of the Mountain West, finished the season 25-20. NDSU will play again on Sunday at 3 p.m. (Central) against the loser of Saturday night’s game between seventh-ranked Stanford and 17th-ranked UC Irvine.

NDSU improved to 36-15 overall and 20-11 in the Summit League, the most league wins at any level in program history. The Jacks dropped to 12-28 overall and 7-17 in league play. The victory locked the Bison into the number two seed in the Summit League Tournament in two weeks. NDSU will close the regular season later this week at Eastern Kentucky. The three-game series starts Thursday night in Richmond, Ky.

Bison baseball has taken two of the first three against South Dakota State

FARGO, ND – The Bison tied the game in the seventh before taking the lead in the eighth inning Saturday afternoon, as North Dakota State beat South Dakota State 5-3 in a Summit League baseball game at Newman Outdoor Field.
NDSU improved to 35-15 overall and 19-11 in Summit League play, tying the 2017 team for the most Summit League wins in program history. South Dakota State dropped to 12-27 overall and 7-16 in league play. The two teams will play the series finale on Sunday at Newman Outdoor Field. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m., while the Bison will honor eight seniors in a pregame ceremony at 12:40 p.m.
